Males are overvalued as females are undermined as human beings.

Connell suggests that hegemonic masculinity is very public through the media. How we portray our sporting stars. It is not what men who are powerful are, but what maintains their power, social standings, and what they support and how they’re being supported but when males in sport do something outstanding they share their masculinity by a grope on a butt cheek. To talk like my twelve year old cousin “that’s pretty gay” not very masculine.

I don’t like Freuds theory of heterosexuality because he seems to favour the females by suggesting that the resent their mothers for being female and therefore use their fathers as an object of desire... Uhhh what? I never hated my mother for being a female. There are so many, stereotypical, reasons to prefer to be a female.

What happens when a son identifies as a male, because of his man like willy but his object of choice IS NOT his mother? What if it was his father? But his father hasn't sought his father. So what went wrong. Oh this figure only applies for heterosexual males. Brilliant, because they’re superior.

We can’t look at hegemonic masculinity without looking at sexual behaviours. Because women are the ones being penetrated by a phallic objects, sexual intercourse. They are weak, I suppose we could look at is as women being stabbed constantly and males are in charge of this masculine volatile act. And just to bring old mate religion back into the mix, you may have thought I had forgotten. God came down from the heavens and impregnated Virgin Mary.  There was no act of coitus but managed to create a baby boy. I’m not meaning to sound brash but this sounds a bit rapey... The women became unknowingly pregnant aside from that there was no consent. 

I'm not suggesting that only males rape females but in some countries only females can be raped by males.

This can be misconstrued as males proving a point a point of power over women, in particular, proving their hegemonic masculinity. Keeping women oppressed by making them weak.

  

To leave you with a few wise words I don't know why gay male sex is considered un-manly it involves literally twice as many men as heterosexual sex. Shouldn't that be the epitome of hegemonic males sexuality?

I think we've covered all bases now for what women are good for having sex, doing laundry and being in wedlock.

Modern capitalism still uses an ancient patriarchy from what I've been exposed to.
My sad story, it's a real tear jerker.
I work in a kitchen with 6 other males, I am the only female aside from the waitress'. Out of the 7 kitchen staff two of us have gone through and completed an apprenticeship. Myself being one and another being a homosexual male who sometimes likes to dress as a female, sometimes, let's call him Basil. And boy can he rock a pair of stilettos. When our head chef got fired the hierarchy suggested that Basil being the sous chef was next in line to become head chef unless a head chef was specifically hired. They changed the rules on Basil, suggesting a shared managerial system but in saying this Basil still has the work load of a head chef. Dealing with every issue, suppliers, ordering, complaints without any recognition.  Patricia Yancey Martin suggests the belief of doing gender perhaps Basil should be more "manly" so his attributes are acknowledged...? She uses notable interviews and observations in associations of practicing gender at work. Practising gender is a constantly changing development!

 
Raewyn Connell provides the theory that gender is a foundation for characteristically analysing. Apparently there are differences with male and female brains! A breakdown involves that women's brains are smaller and they are more emotional. Men are smarter and dominate females in spatial activities. It's written by a bloke, I may be bias, he's a jerk. He also didn't take into consideration that I will now be safe when the zombie apocalypse occurs because my brain is so small.

Sorry mate! I don't have many. If any.

So with Connell's theory we can see how a hierarchy of gender creates the need for women to be seen as weak in the work place and therefore shouldn't be paid as much, or treated as equals.

Here is a few simple steps to make sure you stay hetero, ya know cause it's important.

1; Be born into specific gender
2; Grow up
3; Marry someone that identifies with the opposite gender
4; Have lots of babies and let the cycle continue...
